Return, Refund & Food Product Claims Policy
Effective Date: September 9, 2026
This policy applies to food and beverage ingredients sold by Boduo Group Canada.
1. Food Products Are Final Sale
Because our products are food and beverage ingredients, all sales are final once products have been delivered, picked up, or released to the customer or the customer’s carrier. For food-safety and quality-control reasons, products that have left our custody cannot be returned, exchanged, or restocked unless Boduo Group Canada gives prior written authorization.
We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for change of mind, over-ordering, incorrect ordering by the customer, excess inventory, or products that are no longer required.
2. Claims We Will Review
Claims will only be considered for the following circumstances:
- Verified spoilage, food-quality, or product defect;
- Physical damage or leakage;
- Quantity discrepancy between the confirmed order and goods received; or
- Official recall or market withdrawal affecting the product.
3. Damage and Quantity Claims — 48-Hour Deadline
Customers should inspect all shipments immediately upon receipt. Visible damage, leakage, missing cartons, or obvious quantity discrepancies should preferably be reported within 12 hours so that the issue can be investigated promptly.
All standard delivery- or pickup-related damage and quantity claims must be submitted no later than 48 hours after the recorded delivery or pickup time.
4. Latent Food-Quality or Food-Safety Concerns
A spoilage, latent quality, or food-safety issue that could not reasonably have been identified within 48 hours must be reported promptly upon discovery. Such claims are reviewed separately and are not automatically denied solely because the 48-hour delivery-claim period has passed.
Customers may be required to provide the order number, photographs, lot or batch number, storage conditions, remaining product quantity, and other reasonable information needed to investigate the claim.
5. Official Recalls
If a product becomes subject to an official recall, food-safety alert, or mandatory market withdrawal announced or directed by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), Health Canada, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) where applicable, another competent government authority, the manufacturer, or Boduo Group, the normal final-sale and 48-hour claim limitations do not apply to the affected product.
Customers must immediately stop using, selling, serving, or distributing the affected product and follow the applicable recall instructions. Depending on the recall, affected products may need to be segregated and held, returned, destroyed, or otherwise disposed of as directed.
6. No Unauthorized Returns
Do not send or bring products back to Boduo Group Canada without prior written authorization. Unauthorized food-product returns may be refused. If a physical return is required for an approved claim or official recall, Boduo Group Canada will provide the applicable instructions.
7. Resolution of Approved Claims
After verification, an approved claim may be resolved by replacement, account credit, or refund, depending on the circumstances. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. The time for funds to appear may vary by bank or payment provider.
